You two are just going off the deep end of apostasy. First birthday parties, and now ouija boards. What's next? A goatee for Dazed, and pursuing a degree for Dazed's Better Half?
Lol. not sure if you've seen the pics of me on here but...Goatee...Check!

Scary moment: Watchtower Study conductor got mad about answer
by Gorbatchov intoday we had a bla bla bla watchtower article: warnings for technology, money and pride.
a repreat of a repreat of a repreat.. but now it comes:.
one of the last summary questions one of the local simple brothers gave the answer that we have to take care for technology.

This is a good thing because maybe honest hearted humble ones were stumbled by this elder and will fall out.
We can hope.

I played with a Ouija board last night and guess what happened? … NOTHING…
My wife’s 16 year old brother and friends and I sat in her parent’s “haunted” house where my JDub MIL and the other kids hear noises and bangs and things walking around when no one is upstairs. My MIL saw a black dog once. They see shadows moving from time to time. One time my brother in law's friend was taunting the demon/ghost and it pined him against the wall. He started to scream and my MIL came in the room and said "In the name of Jehovah LEAVE!" and apparently it let him go...
We played the Ouija board and asked it to make itself known by noise or blowing out the candles. I invited them/it to follow me home. The kids left me in the house by myself for 20 minutes and I asked it to make itself known to me. And nothing happened. The kids were surprised nothing happened and told me “Maybe because you don’t believe they leave you alone.” They must just hate Atheists.
When I told my wife that I invited them to our house she got a little upset. While she doesn't believe in the WTBTS beliefs, she does believe in the spirit realm.

by Glander infortunately, i don't have an arrest record.. but i was arrested one day walking through a parking lot when a young woman was struggling to exit her low-slung sports car with no knickers on..

conscious of my spiritual need, what next?
by stillhurts inso once you leave, what next?
have you found anything from a spiritual standpoint that brings you happiness and satisfaction?.
have you been so scarred by the teaching that "all religions are wrong", that you can't see the truth anywhere?.

I was born in and baptized at 13. I left when I was 27. I searched and studied more than I did when I was IN. About a year after I left I found that I couldn’t believe in ANY god. There is just not enough evidence for me to believe in what amounts to stories and fantasy.
You have to find your own way and believe me, the first year is rough. Undoing all the brainwashing we endured all those years is tough. Good luck with your awakening. Many here on JWN are still spiritual, some Christians and some atheists or agnostics. I went from JW to angry with god, then angry with the WTBTS to agnostic and finally fully atheist. I have never had more peace of mind in my life than I do now. It’s a great feeling being free. Good luck with your journey.
And Welcome...

In All Honesty Would You Have NOT Given Blood To Your Child If He or She Needed it?
by minimus inas a "faithful witness", i never had to deal with this on a personal level.
i imagine the pressure must be extreme with the elders and others "supporting" you to do the right thing.. do you think you would have given blood to your family member, especially your child if you were in that situation..

When I was born, there were complications and my mom signed a document refusing me blood. My dad, a nonJW, told the doctors or nurses to lose the document and give me anything I needed to survive. I had transfusions that saved my life.
Over 4 years ago when my son was born, it was in the back of my mind that complications may occur and it would have been a tough decision but I would have had him get a transfusion if needed. He didn’t.
I left the cult about 8 weeks into my wife’s second pregnancy and I told her – “Without a doubt, I will approve a transfusion if needed for our baby.” At the time she told "That will be between you and god." I asked her if she needed one, would she want me to approve one? At the time she said No. Now however I think she would get one if needed as she is in her fade.
